Training Courses

Triton is committed to providing high quality support to all who specify or install Isola or Triton products and systems. Therefore a comprehensive range of training courses is available for specifiers, surveyors and technicians as follows:

1) Cavity Drain Systems Type C Waterproofing

This is an in depth training course which covers the use of membranes in a wide range of typical applications and includes sessions on drainage and the location of sumps and pumps; the correct method of installing and joining membranes on floors, walls and soffits; how to deal with service entries; methods of finishing and finally system maintenance. Each course starts at 9.00am with registration and coffee, includes lunch and afternoon tea, and finishes at approximately 4pm. Course notes and relevant technical literature are provided on the day.

2) Type A/B Concrete Waterproofing

An in depth training course which covers the properties and benefits of concrete; looks at suitable waterproofing systems including cementitious coatings, in depth crystalline structures, admixtures and cavity drain systems; and explores the appropriate areas of use for each type. This course starts at 9.00am with registration and coffee, includes lunch and afternoon tea, and finishes at approximately 4pm. Course notes and relevant technical literature are provided on the day.

3) Dampness in Buildings/Timber Preservation

This in house course can be adapted to suit technicians and/or surveyors. It covers the sources of dampness in buildings, the diagnosis and treatments for all types of dampness, dampness in timbers, types of attack including insect or rot, treatment of damp affected timbers and timber repairs. The course starts at 9.00am with registration and coffee, includes lunch and afternoon tea, and finishes at approximately 4.00pm. Course notes and relevant technical literature are provided on the day.

4) Ground Gas Protection

This training course provides an introduction to ground gases, what they are and where they are found. It covers the relevant satndards and associated guidance documents - BS8485:2015, CIRIA 735, 748 and BRE 211.

The course also covers site investigation and design of gas protection measures along with an introduction to Triton's comprehensive range of gas protection products.

5) Pumps & Drainage

This course has been designed for all those involved with Type C cavity drain systems where pumps and drainage are a critical part of the waterpoofing design.

Although this subject is covered in brief in the Cavity Drain Systems Type C waterproofing training course, this course goes into the subject in more depth, to cover drainage design, selection of pumps, calculating the number and size of pumps required, impact of friction loss and the installation of pump systems along with commissioning and maintenance.

6) Other Triton Training Courses

The following courses can be held on site, at the contractor’s premises or at Triton’s offices in South London. All courses can be provided as either a practical session or as a combination of classroom and practical sessions.

These courses can also be adapted to suit the requirements of surveyors or technicians. There are discounts available for multiple course bookings/delegates.

7) RIBA CPD Seminars

As an accredited CPD provider, Triton is also able to offer six RIBA approved CPD seminars on basement waterproofing in new build or existing structures, waterproofing concrete structures below ground and on green roofs/living roofs. These can be booked via the RIBA Seminar page on this site.
